Henry Kissinger Rebuts Claims of Price Fixing

This article reviews a 60 Minutes program from May of 1980 which claimed that then Secretary of State Henry Kissinger colluded with the Shah of Iran to keep oil prices high to facilitate Iranian arms purchases. The accusations were leveled by a former U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia James Akins. The file also includes a second document “The Shah and Oil Prices,” outlining the Shah’s decision-making around oil prices in the 1970s.
